Internet just stopped working (wireless)

Hello,

Two days ago my Internet connection just stopped working. NTL is our ISP and they provide a cable modem which we use which is connected to a TP-Link TL-WR641G Wireless router. To try and narrow down the problem I removed the wireless router and plugged the cable modem directly into a laptop and the Internet works fine. Therefore I assume it is a wireless router problem?

Anyway, I put the setup back to how it was (i.e. cable modem -> wireless router -> PC) and opened command prompt and typed ipconfig /all and got this back:

IP address: 192.168.1.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.25.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.1.1
DNS Server: 192.168.1.1

I have also done a hard reset on the wireless router back to factory settings and still browser does not display web pages despite being connected the wireless router and there being no firewall.

Any help please would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Have you accidentaly switched the wireless off on the laptop. Try FN + F1 or whichever F key has a symbol like a satelite dish.

Test to use nslookup click here to resolve URL/domain name, if it's not working then try to configure following free DNS servers from OpenDNS click here :

208.67.220.220
208.67.222.222

If it can resolve the URL/domain name well, then open a browser and test to access to website.
