I refer anyone kind enough to help to my original question on this subject dated 2nd May. I was confident I'd been given the solution only to discover that (1)"Disable Script Debugging" is already ticked and (2)"Display Script Error notification" is already unticked. I have searched everywhere for the IE repair tool and I'm pretty sure there isn't one.
(P.S. My O.S. is XP Home and I'm trying to banish IESE's because once they appear on my screen they freeze everything - what do I do?)
Thanks for your reply. Basically I would like to get rid of incessant Internet Explorer Script Error pop-ups, which are impossible to get rid of, eventually. Whether I press yes, no or the cross they stay on top disabling any other action. This is obviously a common complaint - having read through helproom's history, but the most suggested anti-dote isn't going to work for me because the settings I mentioned above are those I'm supposed to alter to cure the problem! My ISP is AOL by the way. I'm going to say good night now - I hope you can help.
