Internet Explorer problem after yesterday's update

Has anyone else got a problem with IE8 not working after this weeks Win 7 updates?

I'm posting this with Firefox, but IE8 won't display any pages. The 'diagnose connection problems' button can't find a problem.

Works OK on 2PCs here both running XP SP3.

I've got the fix running now, but it seems to be frozen on about 10%, yet the task manager doesn't say it's not responding. Does it take a while to run?

No, that didn't work but using system restore fixed it, even though it says system restore was unsuccessful? Work that one out...

I've just downloaded and reinstalled IE8, but it's still not working.

Maybe I should just wait until next weeks updated updates are released...?

Windows media player is also affected, I can't get it to recognise the album and song titles on some CDs I bought today.

And I can't open links from emails opened in Outlook but can in Thunderbird what's MS done???
