Internet Explorer problem

I get online easily enough and begin surfing, but after a few minutes I lose the web page and get the dreaded message 'unable to display web page'........ though I am still online , I cannot access any site from then on....this is a new problem for me, anyone got any ideas ??????.........dial-up,win98se, IE6 used with tesconet........

Hi, go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information.
In the next box go to Tools and run the first item, Repair I.E. Tool.
Also go to Start, Run. Type SFC in the box, then click OK.
This will run the System File Checker.
See how you go.

On Dial up you could also be getting timed out.
In Outlook Express, check the time that the modem is allowed to connect and, if necessary, extend the time.
