I have checked all the software, but for some reason the "open in new window" option when right clicking in IE doesnt work anymore. I am using XP home and latest IE6.0 any ideas??

Start > Run > Copy and PAste:

Now click ok and have your XP CD in the drive when you do this. This will put right any damaged XP files.

Or could also do a system restore to when you did not have this problem.

You could try going to add/remove programs and selecting the 'repair' function when uninstalling Internet Explorer...

Worth a shot...

Just to add to powerless post you can use the System File Checker by...

Put your windows CD into the CD ROM and hold the shift key (the one with arrow pointing up, just above the Ctrl key on the left of your keyboard). Holding shift for a few seconds will stop the Windows CD from auto running, but the drive will still spin up to read the disk then spin back down again. Once it has spun down you can release the shift key.

Now click Start/All Programs/Accessories and choose Command Prompt. Type in

sfc /scannow

and hit enter. This will check and replace any damaged system files.

Tried SFC, didnt help, tried knowledge base, found the problem, but couldnt find any instructions on how to resolve it, so ended up doing a restore. Still unsure what caused it......
