I'm considering moving to firefox instead of IE.If I install over ie does it transfer all settings etc. What happens to outlook express?

any advice greatly appreciated.

Firefox doesn't remove IE it is just an alternative browser. During the installation it will ask if you want to import Favorites etc. IE and Outlook Express will still be there for use if or when required.

Firefox is another application that can and will work along side Internet Explorer. If you want Firefox to become the default browser you can have to do that.

Firefox can import cookies, favourites etc [if you tell it to].

Ouutlook Express is not effected.

DON'T try to remove IE - it will most likely cause many problems if you try.

As Eric10 says, it will ask if you want to import bookmarks etc but, if you miss that, go to File -> Import and you can do it from there.
