  fullywired23 20:35 16 Nov 2003

When I'm "surfing".every five or ten minutes I get the message "internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down"

the exception information is as follows :code:Ox0000005 Flags:Ox00000000.

Has any one any suggestions to the possible cause

My thanks to Howard60 and Vog

I tried the repair method as you suggested.
My O/S is XP pro so I tried the>run>type rundll32 etcetera but a box came up saying "can't find setuppwbv.dll"
So I .then tried the run<type>sfc /scannow
Which runs the System File Check when the disc is inserted.I have been on line some 40 minutes and the error message has not occurred. so with fingers crossed (which makes it difficult to type )I will tick the resolved button

thank you once again for your assistance
Regards Viejo
