internet explorer download/status bar

only something silly i know and no doubt some kind of setting i have unwittingly changed, but the bar at the bottom of a web page that shows how far the process of downloading that page has reached, does no longer appear when i move from page to page. so come on all you computer experts out there please put me out of my missery and tell me how to revive it...cheers in advance mark.

In Internet Explorer, View and tick Status Bar.
