No matter what I do I get the above message. I even updated to IE 8 but still same problem. Symantec will not update either. I know I am connected as Winows Diagnose does not detect any problems. I have tried disabling all add ons and this makes no difference. My Netbook works fine over the same connection.
Give Malwarebytes free an update and run just to see if it finds any nasties. Or try Tools.Internet Options.Advanced and restore advanced settings. Or advanced and press reset. or disable all of your add-ons and see if it will work. Just updated to IE8 sometimes some of the add-ons show as enabled but the folders are empty so you have to reinstall some of them. And of course try Firefox until you get I/E sorted out.
