Who is going to be brave and have a "Tinker"???

  birdface 08:36 06 Mar 2008

It will not download for me.It just says .update\iesetup.exe is not a valid win32 application.

Have you had a tinker VoG™, if so how goes the battle between inovation and disaster?

  VoG II 09:19 06 Mar 2008

I'm waiting for the 'king of the tinkerers' to try it first :o)

Oops tried to download the wrong version.Ok now.

With my track record I would probably find that Beta 1 had turned into Theta 4.

I'm feeling chicken this morning, and pretending to be Captain Sensible!

My opinion.Stay with IE7.Not a lot of difference.Cant get into Manual Microsoft updates so maybe you have to have it set on Automatic all the time. And I don't like the way I have to type this out.If you make a mistake you could go back and change it.But so far you have to use the keyboard back forward keys instead of the mouse. But no doubt it will be something easy to fix.Mind you I kept all my own settings rather than use there's so there may be a big difference with that.No serious faults so it is up to you wether to give it a try or not.

Thank you for the report, I think I will take your advice and stay with IE7. When is the definative version due, anyone know?

  birdface 12:15 06 Mar 2008

You will get withdrawl symtoms if you don't download it.You will be wondering what you are missing.Something to tinker with to pass the time. If i don't get this typing problem sorted soon I think that I may revert back to IE7 in the next couple of days.
