anyone ever had the message : INTERNET EXPLORER (not responding) this happens on a regular basis when trying to browse web pages any help as to what causes this most helpful

i would think everyone has had this error message at some time, the link may help...
Don't use IE meself, much prefer firefox...

Make sure Compatibility view is ticked.

Or go to command prompt and type in ipconfig /flushdns and then click the enter button on the keyboard.
it should tell you Dns cache has been flushed if so reboot and see if it makes any difference.

I had so many problem popups and "there is a fault, sorry has to close" that a while ago I went totally over to Firefox.

You can do many IE tasks like Win updates on Firefox if you set it up.
There are a few sites that push toward IE, the BBC is one, I read the other day that some large companies won't change from IE6 purely because it's too expensive to convert all their PC's, it is causing Microsoft a problem because they want rid of IE6 but must still take note of what their large corporate customers say, or they might quit Microsoft altogether.
