First of all try CCleaner, get it from here click here.
If that doesnt get rid of it,try some spyware scans
Adaware 2007 here click here
Spybot s&d here click here
A2 squared here click here
And Superantispyware here click here

Also do an online scan with Eset free online scanner here click here.

Forgot to add,if you have,nt got SpywareBlaster.
Install it from here click here.
It helps to prevent spyware from getting onto your pc.

You will loose your updates if you go back to IE6, But if you go back to IE7 again it is just a matter of reinstalling here=

Cant really find anything except that the home page has changed to.Check the address bar click here .It used to Not unless you are using the US Version.Have you got the latest version of Java installed. It should be java6 update4.Not sure if you can repair IE7.I think that you have to delete it and go back to IE6.But I would wait and see if someone comes up with an easier solution.Forget the Java that was if you were having problems with messenger.

What Firewall do you use and what Anti-Virus.Have tried Googling it but hard to find anything after 2004.Probably something daft like using Norton or something like that.
