Hi Wizards,

I have Internet Explorer 6 on an old Gateway computer. I have just noticed that I don't have a web address on the Google Homepage (click here. etc.)

Is there some way I can get to see one?

Many thanks.

That link shows up as a "dodgy" site for me.

try typing it in.

Sorry,I didn't mean this to be a website - I was just giving an example of what I took to be the address bar in case that was not what it was called.

So, the bit that I am missing on the Google Homepage is the bit where I should be able to type in the web address. Right now I can only use the search engine.

Hope that helps you to help me.

Many thanks.

The Google homepage consists of a search box in the centre, and then various links at the top left such as Images, Videos, Maps etc. There are other links top right and lower down the page - that's basically it.

Or are you referring to the address bar at the top of the Internet Explorer page? If so try pressing F11 and it should reappear.

Sorry, yes it is the address bar at the top of the Internet Explorer 6 page.

I tried F11 and while it makes some changes it doesn't make the address bar appear.

Any more suggestions?

Many thanks.

Many thanks, Sea Urchin. I'm at the office right now but I'll try that as soon as I get home.

Many thanks.
