OK, here's my setup:
I have 1 PC running Broadband and 1 PC that has no Internet connection.
I have a Network Card installed on both machines and a Cable running between them that is working fine.
I would like to access the internet on both computers using the LAN connection.
The problem is I am having trouble setting up the LAN connection so I can access the internet through it.
I get this error message usually:
"Windows cannot set up this computer to share it's internet connection because the IP address it needs (192.168.0.1) is being used by another computer or device on the network or by software running on this computer"
Whatever shall I do?????

Change the IP address - try 198.168.0.3

Start - Settings - Control Panel - Network Connections. Right Click on Local Area Connection
then click Internet Connection (TCP/IP) - Properties, and you'll see all the settings.

Cross check on the two systems, and change one of the IPs to be one more on the last digit than the other.
