Internet connection sharing on vista stopped worki

I'm trying to share the internet connection on my windows vista partition. Until now it has been fine, but all of a sudden, yesterday, it stopped working. iPhone and mac both show self assigned IPs. I tried resetting and setting up a new ad hoc network and checked settings to make sure internet sharing was enabled, but still the mac and iPhone are not given their own IPs.

Very strange considering that for the past few months all has been fine. Any suggestions?

Try disabling "Internet Connection Sharing" in Vista, reboot and then enable it again. Check that the network adapter with which you're connecting to the "client" devices has the fixed IP address

Run IPCONFIG /ALL in a Command Prompt window and check that "IP Routing Enabled" shows as "Yes".

Thanks. Seems awfully simple. I feel a bit silly for not disabling/resetting/enabling before posting.
