Internet connection lost when waking from sleep

If my laptop falls asleep and is later woken (or if woken from hibernation) - the internet connection - via a wireless lan - is not re-established. Re-booting is required to pick up the connection again.

I'm going to see if ipconfig/release and then /renew has the same effect - as it "feels" like an ipaddress issue.

Can anyone suggest a way to prevent it occuring - or to "automate" the release and renew commands when recovering from sleep / hibernation ?

Thanks
