Internet Access

Of late I find the internet is taking a long to reach the required URL, in fact sometimes it does'nt get there atall. I am using a broadband connection and the connection icons, 2 green monitors, do'nt show any activity so is this a problem or what and what cxan I do about it/

I am using Windows 98SE on a BT Broadband and using Yahoo with BT Communicator.
There is 512mb memory on an 80Gb hard drive.

Have you tried clearing your history, temp interent files, cookies, etc...???

Is this related to a particular time of day? The internet slows down drastically at 6pm when a lot of dial-up users switch on and also at about 1 pm (when the East coast of the USA starts work.

I haven't tried clearing out dross in the system but I will and thanks FelixTCat that could be the answer.
