3 yr old Computer is not responding immediately to being switched on. No response when button is pressed but if left alone it suddenly starts booting up normally after a number of minutes (varies but can be 10 mins or more). Took it to shop and it switched on normally 15 times or more over a half day period!!

and you watched them do this ?

do you hear soft click when you press the on button

try switching the power on cable with the reset switch cable

note
turn off system if you going to open it up and remove power cable

simply place the black power tab on the reset socket
