I have a strange situation where the computer is running but there is no video display on boot up. This happens alot however on occasion the machine boots up fine. I don't have onboard graphics and i am using a nividia 5700 graphics card. I have power to the card and at a loss. I am wondering if there are any checks i could do to narrow down what is at fault with the machine.

Remove refit the card to remake the connections, they can start to work loose over time.

Another possibility is your PSU starting to fail as it gets older it tends to struggle on cold starts.

Tried that so it might be the PSU?
