Intermitent wifi internet connection

I have recently set up as follows: New pc in bedroom with Telewest cable b/band running into Linksys Wireless A+G router (set to G) connected to pc by ethernet cable. 2 year old pc in dining room with Linksys usb wireless adapter. Distance beteen router and usb adapter about 10 feet at most through an internal wall.

The network isn't that reliable and I often have to physically connect to it. However I now often connect to the network ok only to get a message on the linksys control panel "connected to access point but unable to find internet", hence no internet connection downstairs. The signal strength is good.

Anyone point me in the right direction to sort this?

Thanks.

This belongs in Networking. Read of the recent threads there and follow the advice that I and others have given about the installation of USB adapters. Let us know if it improves things.
