Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection Problem

I use the above adapter as my connection to my broadband internet. Every now and again the connection drops for no apparant reason, A re-boot or two usually sorts the problem out. I have noticed in the event log the following

Adapter Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection: EEprom corruption detected

I am starting to think that perhaps the drivers are corrupted, but device manager suggests all is ok. This event is quiet frequent now.

Any help would be appreciated. I am also having trouble downloading the latest drivers from the Intel site.

Have you ran the diagnostic utility that came with the driver?

I have now managed to download and load up the new drivers. (Firefox wasn't allowing the download for some reason, but IE got it) and all is the same. I have noticed (Don't know why I didn't before) that the DSL light on the BT Voyager 220v ADSL Voice router drops when the connection does. The Ethernet light remains.

Does this indicate that the problem is one on the line?

Problem seems to have settled since update of drivers?
