intel pentium T3400/Core 2 Duo T5800-Which Best?

  JEFoord 16:30 01 Feb 2009

Had my eye set on a laptop with aol broadband through carphonewarehouse. They did have the vaio ns20e which has intel pentium T3400 processor but now they are offering the vaio ns10j with Core 2 Duo T5800 processor. Really confused as to which is better. Have googled or ages but cant make my mind up which is better, not forgetting this will be the same cost to me. Any advice greatley appreciated.

Not a lot in them, but the Core2Duo is the way to go.

Do you think it matters that the pentium T3400 has a processor speed of 2.16 GHz and the core 2 duo T5800 only has 2.0 GHz. It used to be so easy to work out which was best - higher the GHz the better - but now its not so clear cut eh......!
