Int. Explorer - Google - AVG

With the latest AVG when searching via Google te results show a green star at the end of the search line. If touched by the curser an AVG pop-up appears and these become annoying. Is there a way to switch them off?

I find it really useful. Sometimes I search for something obscure, and when it gets past the safe sites, you start to get red warnings instead of the green safe status.

I never click on a red warning site. I wouldn't. Looks to me like they could contain viruses or malware.

Sorry, no idea how to switch it off. Hopefully someone else wil know.

Open the AVG interface by right clickin on the icon in the bottom rhc then Tools/Advanced Settings/LinkScanner untick the top box.

You may also wish to go Overview/LinkScanner right click then 'Ignore component state' so that your AVG icon remains OK.
