Installing a Selphy 780 photo printer

  collinsc 14:35 22 Jan 2011

I bought a Selphy 780 photo printer for my Dad for xmas. Like most things i put it off and have only just come to install. First problem is that it has an american connection! - i have a cheap converter so used that (though it was very loose - will need some blu tac to keep it in place!).

Second issue is that there isn't actually a cable to connect from the printer to the PC - neither does it appear that there was one in the box.

Advice appreciated!

A standard A-B USB cable should do - under £1 delivered from Amazon click here / eBay click here.

You may need a certain length though, so get one that suits your needs. G

click here to view the correct connectors you need on each end. Also called a USB A to B (A-B) cable.

From the printer's specs click here:

'Print from a Computer....Yes, requires standard USB cable
Computer......USB type B port on printer'

I don't know where you purchased but this one comes supplied with a Dynex USB Cable (6ft) See here click here

There's also a longer one (9.8ft) click here

Hope this helps.
