Installing RAM in a laptop

Thanks to you all who advised me with my recent post 'Laptop Memory Expansion.'

I have decided to upgrade afterall, however, this is where I need help, I have taken the memory cover off to look at the RAM, and this is where I am confused.

I know that I have 2x256mb modules in the laptop, and am presuming that the second must be behind the first. Unlike in a desktop, where the modules run side by side, these must run on top of each other.

The slot looks fragile, and I don't know how to remove an exisiting 256mb module and replace it with a new one?

The laptop is a Toshiba Equium A60, I don't want to damage it by not installing the RAM properly.

The manual usually has directions for removing RAM.
