Installing HP Laserjet P2015 in Vista

Hi There,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers to installing the driver software for my 2015.

When I use the CD it came with it gets so far and says I need administrator priveledges (which I have as I'm the only user on my PC) and the software on the web does not seem to let it print.

Am I missing something obvious?

Yes you are missing something, you do not have admin privileges. All administrators run as standard users in Vista. If your CD contains a Vista driver you need to find the setup file, right click it and choose Run as Administrator. Should be ok then.

if there is no Vista driver there is one on the HP web site.

The other option is to temporarily turn off User Account Control.

Just managed to install using advice from the review pages of which I googled.

Basically the CD it ships with may as well be a coaster!!!

Downloaded the drivers from the HP site and followed instructions from and it's now working!!
