Installing Graphics card

Hi, just tried installing a Geforce GTX 460 AMP onto a Asus P5K SE motherboard and all I got was a lot of beeps and nothing on the monitor. I've looked into this before I purchased the card and it should work but something is obviously wrong but I can't find it. Power unit is 550watts, 4GB ram, XP PRO and CPU is a core 2 quad 6600. Any ideas.

Did you remove the OLD drivers first? There is a procedure to follow in fitting a new graphics card. Check here first click here

Attach TWO dedicated 6pin PCI-E power connectors from the PSU to GPU. If done, what's the PSU make & model number?

Also try clearing/resetting the motherboard's CMOS - follow instructions exactly as stated on page 2-22 of the manual (or download the English PDF manual from click here). G
