installing extra HDD

Probably a simple answer but:
If you have four devices on two IDE channels how do you go about connecting an extra device such as a third HDD?

That Depends 0n

1) Whether you have a Raid enabled motherboard - in which case you will have a further two (4 in all) IDE channels. I take it you do not so;

2) You can either replace one hard drive with a larger one and remain with four IDE devices in total or;

3) Purchase an IDE controller card that would give you both Raid or simply just extra IDE connectivity.

Thanks for that

No I don't have RAID

What do you mean by 'extra IDE connectivity'?
