I am runnig XP and have AVG. I tried to install new software and got the message "unable to complete as installation source corrupted". I tried running it in both D: and E: but got same message. AVG and stinger found no virus. Can anyone help. Many Thanks.

To start off with "corrupt" doesn't always mean that a virus is at play...

No then.... You may have got a "dodgy" installation disk for the program you want to install.....

You could try to "recover" the file(s) that are corrupt, by using "Bad Copy Pro" (click here) and this program will "recover" the files from a cd/folppy that windows says that it must format the disk, recover corrupt files, etc...

the offical website for "badcopy" is click here this will explain how to use it, what it does, etc...
