Installation Error

Hi guys,
I am trying to install windows 7 on my preinstalled xp pc.I get this error message.
'Windows has encounted a problem commcating with a device to your compter.
This eror can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as extnal usb drive,or by faulty hardware such as hard drive or cd rom drive that is failing.Make sure any removble storage is properly conncted and restart your pc.
Info:an unexpected I/O error has occured.'
I have not conncted any ext drive.
What could be causing it.

Printers with built in card readers can also be seen as an external drive.

Unplug all USB devices before attempting the install.

Ok it has built-in card readers so should i remove them before installing and put back after installation?

Yes, could be worth unplugging the card reader at the motherboard header and retry the installation.
