Install on Demand

One of the options in Internet Explorer V6 is "Enable Install on Demand". What is this? It sounds dangerous.

Doesn't sound dangerous to me.

Can I pick up anything nasty from it? Is it the future way into my PC by hackers when they've worked out how to misuse it?

i have always had this option ticked, without problems.

all that happens is if for instance a website requires a language pack etc to be installed to view the page correctly then a pop up box appears and you will be prompted to install it.

click cancel and you can still view the page though without installing it if you dont want to.

if the page then doesnt look right click refresh and install the lang pack.

it wont cause you any problems either way by ticking or unticking it.if your not comfortable ticking it then leave it as is.

Thanks, I think I'll leave it unticked.
