inkjet refilling

My HP 1310 all-in-one does everything I want it to, (nothing fancy)
but I just cannot afford the cost of refill carts. £13 quid for 11 fl.oz.
and there are no compatables on offer for less money.
Anyway, to get to the point, I have refilled the black cart. myself, no problem at all, and the printer works fine, I know there are a lot of people do this because of the number of firms flogging the ink.

The question is, although it is only a guide, the ink indicator says almost empty, is there any way to reset this. A friend told me to unplug the printer and take out the carts. then leave for about three hours and plug in and replace carts. but that didn't work.

Any thoughts about this, please,

dont know if this helps click here

Some companies do recommend that you leave the cartridge for 24 hours before using, for the ink to saturate through. Hope this helps, regards esso.

I have a HP1210 and have used this method successfully, it's a bit fiddly but works, use insulation tape and fit carefully with plastic tweezers or similar so as not to damage the contacts click here HTH TR
