Infrared connection from Motherboard?

I use an Abit KR7A Motherboard and am running XP Prof - the MB has an infrared connector on it.
Having aquired a mobile 'phone which supports infrared I am keen to link computer and mobile.
I have looked at several accessory suppliers and while it seems possible to buy an IR usb module I do not seem to be able to find anything that will connect directly to the MB connection.
I wondered if anyone could advise me if any such device exists?
Thanks.

don't know, my asus also has a connector for infrared, but I just bought the usb irda adaptor, it would probably be much cheaper than one for the mobo and it works fine, and you can move it from pc to pc or laptop if required.

click here looks a good buy and they have a reduced shipping offer on this weekend only.

I bought my one from ebay, and it did not work when windows selected the device type (default) but I just had to change the model and it works fine.

use it with nokia pc suite to back up phone book etc.
