Hi,I'm currently on an isp and can't really move isp for various reasons. Currently my internet performance is very poor at peak times causing massive packet loss and making video conversations, remote desktop, gaming ect impossible during these times.click hereWhen I do a tracert I go through my ISPs "bras2" which is where all the problems are. Many other people are complaing in my area too.Tonight I tested 2 of my friends connections who are on the exact same package for the problem. It didnt show up and I noticed that they go through the isp's "bras1".I was wondering if I ring up the isp and ask to be moved from "bras2" to "bras1" can they do it or are there conditions that mean I cant be moved? This has been going on since November so any help or information would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
I am no backbone expert but click here and it seems to suggest that the RAS is within the BT Network and not something the ISP necessarily have control over. You will only get the answer by asking your ISP.
