I have started to get the following message on my screen every 60 seconds when i'm on line.

Ixplore has caused an error in INFO BIRD.EXE.
Ixplore will now close.
If you continnue to experience problems try restarting you omputer.

Can anyone throw any light on what is causing this and what I can do to get rid of it.

Thanks

John

Do a search on your computer for info bird.exe and see what comes up.

bird.exe seems to be some sort of Mal ware.

A search on google for bird(dot)exe turned up several responses.

some were harmless (about brids, as in the ones with feathers and wings), and some in what looked like German. the only one i understood had a user with a problem.

lets have the details

I need to go back a step with this one, what I did was to use System Restore in ME and went back to a date I where this problem did not exist.

When I did this the problem that I had with Infobird had gone but I ended up with another one which was similar Ixplore has caused an error in Grimplatform(dot)exe.

You have been helping me with that one and as on tonight it looks as though we have managed to get rid of the Grimplatform(dot)exe problem.

The problem seems to have been caused by a program called Windows Search which was in Add/Remove programs, I have removed it and so far the problems has not come back.

Thamks for all your help.
