I have a Dell Laptop with XP Windows, yet when I log on to check my e-mails, I also receive my son's and vice versa - can anyone help to prevent this happening. At the moment I have set up that his e-mails are sent out to him from me and then deleted into my Deleted Items, this isn't ideal and it would be nice to log on and just get mine without receiving his also.

Assuming you have different e-mail adresses but have one username for your ISP

email address

In outlook express
tools - accounts - click the account - properties - servers tab - put your email account name infront of the username.

Do the same in his account. (put his name)

Thank you for your advice. I am still a bit unclear in what I have to do. I work in Microsoft Outlook not Express. For my e-mail accounts I have a dialogue box come up that has

Your Name
E-mail Address

User Name

Incoming E-mail
Outgoing E-mail

Would the account name be the password?
I have an e-mail account with ''
