Improting emails to Thunderbird

  Andrew-C 19:55 04 Mar 2005

I've recently had to format my hard drive and have decided to move from the integrated Mozilla suite over to the separates (Firefox/Sunbird/Thunderbird).

Prior to formatting i saved the folders where mozilla stored all of the old emails (under Documents and Settings...). I thought that I'd be able to just replace the new set of folders that Thunderbird created with the old folders containing my emails. However it wasn't that simple - I now seem to be unable to see my old emails - is there any way of sorting this?

PS: using windows 2000 and the latest stable release of Thunderbird

Maybe you can find the answer on the Thunderbird FAQ's. click here
Can't say I have done this so far. I have emails scattered in O.E. Mozilla and Thunderbird. This has mainly occurred from clicking on "contact us" links on various websites. Depends which browser I was using at the time.
