Importing MPEG4 videos to computer

  Barnacarry 14:42 17 Oct 2009

I have a JVC HDD GZ-MG645BEK CAMCORDER. I am trying to copy my videos to my computer, using their Everio MediaBrowser software, but when it has finished copying I cannot view them. There is a large orange Exclamation mark on each picture and when I click on any of them it states 'failed importing', even though the picture is there. Is there any other software I can use to download these MPEG4 videos?

The camcorder has a USB 2.0 port. Using a USB cable, hook it up to your computer. Once you turn the camcorder on, it should show up as an additional hard-drive under 'My Computer'.

Open the drive and look for the video files. Then simply drag the files to a folder on your computer.

Thanks ArrGee, I'll give that a try when the battery is charged.

It is possible that you haven't got the mpeg4 codecs on your computer. Try downloading VLC player and see if you can open them then. click here
