images self copying when trying to delete

When I attempt to delete more than 4 images they keep copying and I now have a monster file on my computer which is becoming unstable.

How do you delete them?

Why not move all those you don't want into a folder and then delete the folder?

  jimbolds 18:01 07 Oct 2006

Sorry but I didn't say if I select them for moving they double up, I was moving some to a different folder and then spent 2 hours getting rid of them. This has been a continous problem but today was the pits.

No solution yet but that is the same thing as me, when I press control and highlight them. Did you solve your problem

never experienced the `self copying` problem personally, but perhaps a duplicate remover would get rid of all the copies; click here

Have you tried holding down the ctrl key, left click on the files then release the ctrl key, right click and select delete from the drop down menu?

click here for a duplicate file finder

I`ve always deleted files this way.

Highlight file by Lt clicking it.
Rt click desktop and select delete. Then yea or nay.

Multiple files.

Lt click first file to highlight,
Hold down Shift key,
Lt click last file in block, all files to be deleted will now be highlighted,
Rt click desktop and as above select delete,
Then yea or nay.

No copying this way.

I had the copying problem too a while ago, really annoying.

Ever since re-installing windows (not because of that) it seems to have stopped ???
