Can anyone suggest a good (free) image editor. I have downloaded Photopad Image Editor but cannot get it to work.I only really want something simple ( for red-eye etc)and am running Windows 7.

Paint.net or Gimp get good reports.

A very simple image editor I've used for years with much success is IrfanView.

You stepped into the real of not so simple and not always Free.
However go to the serif web site- they have a good image editors and offer FREE download of earlier versions.
The trade off?
you are then on their nag to buy list.

click here is the website for Serif PhotoPlus. You can unsubscribe from their emails to stop the nag to buy.

Picasa 3.8 from:

and you may wish to look at Photo Elements 7 from:

Photo Elements is now at V9 at about £50, but version 7 is being sold by Morgan’s at about £20. It says it will work with Vista, so I should guess W7 will also be OK. Picasa is OK for W7.

FYI I use both these, and others. Every photo package has its good and bad points.
