image downloads via HTTP

I want to provide a means for website visitors to select an image and download it (I know they can just r-click and Save As, but if their browser is set to automatically re-size images they will get the wrong resolution - the images are for wallpapers)

So, I envisage a link where they click and they can download via HTTP. How do I go about this?

Thanks.

If the picture is saved by the right-click method then the picture is saved at its true size and resolution regardless of whether the browser has resized it or not. The resizing just affects the view in the browser and doesn't change the resolution of the actual file.
Having said that, if you want visitors to be able to save directly from the picture link on the page then either give instructions to right-click the link and choose "Save Taget As" or zip the pictures and link to the zip file.

Yes - the resolution is, as you say, preserved despite image resizing by the browser. I'll leave it as it is. Many thanks.
