Image colours not natural

I have filed all my photos from my 'smart media card' in the 'My Pictures' folder. When I now open them, the clours are bland and totally different from my original photos take with my digital camara.
How can I rectify this problem by making them appear look natural?

Am greatful for any advise.

I presume they are fine when printed out its just on screen they look bland, is this correct?

Correct. They are perfect but look awful on screen.

It could be a combination of your monitor's brightness, contrast and colour settings and/or the monitor's colour settings configuration.

Most monitors provide the means to adjust the Kelvin scale settings - try the (possible) two or three choices in turn to find out the best for you.
