I have literally thousands of images collected over the years - all jpeg - but scanned at different resolutions (around 300dpi).
I need to process them all for use on the Web at avout 75-100dpi.
Can anyone suggest a suitable programme?

Faststone's Photo Resizer is excellent and will convert images as a batch. I don't think you can set an output dpi as such but, if in the Advanced Options - Resize window you select a smaller resolution, or perhaps better still a percentage (say 25%), I think that will have the same effect.

A bit of trial and error should do the trick - but NOT on the originals!! :-)

That is ideal. Many many thanks

This is the easiest image resizer that I have ever used. It's been absolutely perfect for my customers who need to easily resize images before uploading via their web based Content Management System.

Cheaper than Photoshop too at around £15!!

"I don't think you can set an output dpi as such"

Wrong - Faststone's Photo Resizer /does/ have a dpi setting to do what you want. One of the tabs in the Advanced Options - Resize window. Missed that, sorreee.

It's free for home users.
