illegal system DLL Relocation

I booted my computer up this morning and the following message appeared in a dialogue box after start-up: RTHDCPL>EXE - Illegal system DLL Relocation - The system DLL user 32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
I have not installed any software in months so I cannot understand why this should suddenly appear. On checking the programmes I think RTHDCPL.exe relates to Realtek ethernet and audio drivers which were on the system when purchased.
Can anyone advise what I need to do?
Many thanks
