Hi folks, i am considering downloading Firefox. Can it run in unison with Internt Explorer? or do i have to uninstall IE?Are there any issues with Firefox that i should be aware of?Thanks in advance,
It will run fine alongside IE.During the installation it will ask you if you want to make it the default browser. I would say 'No' - you can always do this later on.
click hereGetting Started with FireFoxWhen you get used to it, you will be impressed. It has many add ons (called extensions) which improve it's functionality).
Try Firefox you won't go back to IE.
ive tried firefox and im back on IEi dont find it that amazing
neither do I, but it is an excellent alternative. I'm just used to IE.You can run any amount of browsers alongside each other.
Thanks for all your advice/opinions.A Merry Christmas to you all, and all connected with PC Advisor.
There is not much to FF other than tabbed browsing unless some of the extensions are installed - that is where it comes into its own in my opinion.
If you do switch to FF (and I don't think you would go back to IE), you can import your IE settings either during the installation or afterwards from File>Import. You can set either IE or FF as your default browser according to your preference but both, as stated, will co-exist quite happily.Don't forget to continue updating IE (security patches etc)...:-)If you download FineTune Firefox (freeware) from:click hereand follow the easy instructions, you will automatically speed up FF even more without having to do it manually through about:config
