iexplore.exe application error

I have just received a message on my screen as I closed a browser window:

iexplore.exe application error
The instruction at "0x00df3e8d" referenced memory at "0x00df3e8d". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the programme

What does this mean?

I'm using XP SP2 and (obviously) IE as my web browser.

Reboot and see if it happens again; if not, then nothing to worry about.

Repair IE if problems persist.
