IE7 toolkit

  loopyloo 13:18 02 Dec 2006

I have downloaded the toolkit to disable automatic delivery of IE7 because when I install IE7 it freezes up my computer. When installing the toolkit it is asking me to "type a location where you want to place the extracted files". Where do I put them?

If I have understood you correctly its simply somewhere you will find them again. Many people extract to the desktop so its easy to find the execute file for installing.

Hi I've extracted them to a file but don't know what to do next.

Assuming you can find the file double click on the set up or exe. file.

Hi VoG so it still downloads IE7 but you have to click it not to install. It's just that I went to the Microsoft page and it tells me it alters registry settings etc.

Yes, it adds a registry entry to prevent IE7 from installing. If you double-click the IE7BlockerToolkit.EXE file it will 'flash' for a second and you're done.

I extracted the files but there is no exe file in the ones I've extracted. I've downloaded the file again and extracted the files as per instructions but still no exe file.
