IE7 Tabs menu greyed out

  HighTower 10:08 03 Nov 2006

Odd one, PC downloaded and installed IE7 through the auto update system. Am browsing this forum now with it and I think it's OK, but nothing incredible - but what do you want from a browser!

Anyway, there's a few greyed out menus that I can't access - one is the tabs menu and they won't operate at all and the other is the "set homepage" option. Everything else works fine but I can't access these options. There's no spyware on the PC, and I've checked the relevent options in other menus.

Any ideas anyone? I'm not really that bothered as I use Firefox and just wanted IE7 to preview websites in. It's more of a niggle than anything else.

Have you enabled tabbed browsing? Tools internet options, tabs settings.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it's all enabled.

Odd. Some have tried a reinstall of IE7, files have become corrupted as part of the install. Others have found a hijack of home page issue which could suggest mal-ware.
