ie7 removal. help needed.

Hi folks. I tried ie7 beta2 and now wish I hadn't. I want to revert to ie6,but after clicking on ie7beta 2 in the remove programmes it says that the program has already been removed, (which it has'nt!!!) it then asks if I want to remove ie7 beta 2 from the list. I've tried re installing ie7 but it states that It's already installed and won't continue.
I'm now completley lost and wondered if any of you had a quick fix.
System restore is not an option as I use go back, but I've had ie7 on for a wee while now and can't afford to roll back to before ie7 was installed.
Any help appreciated.

removing in safe mode?

but it left me no way at all to uninstall it. I tried every way. In the end I had to re-install!

Good luck, Whiz...

in the end you reinstalled IE7 beta again or Windows?

it won't let me uninstall as the uninstaller is invalid and says it's already been uninstalled.
catch 22 I'm afraid.
