IE7 Problems Comp rebooting

  Dekka123 00:11 18 Dec 2006

I have XP Pro and SP2 plus Zone Alarm (latest version) and AVG. My comp fully boots up and when I go to use it before I have chance to touch a key it reboots. It does this continually and I have had to uninstall it and revert back to IE6. It then works OK but I would like to get the problem resolved as I rather like what I have seen of IE7 on my mates machine. Any suggestions please.

It sounds like a conflict of drivers

Have you got your chipset and graphics drivers up to date?

If you have toolbars eg Google or other add ins.

Try temporarily disabling the toolbar and try again.
To disable a toolbar open Internet Explorer 7, follow these steps:

In Windows, click the Start button.
Click All Programs.
Click Accessories.
Click System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No add-ons).
Once you determine the toolbar causing the issue, you should uninstall the toolbar through Add or Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel and then check the toolbar’s website for an updated version.

Sorry to both of you for the delay. I was using the latest drivers but it turned out to be the Google tool bar. Thank you both very much I will tick this as resolved.
